As One; We Craft - 2026 Edition
Following the overwhelming response to previous editions, As One; We Craft returned on 13 June 2026 for its third annual gathering.
Throughout the day, participants from all walks of life - including C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, seasoned professionals, young professionals, students, children, local Hongkongers, expatriates, and individuals from multicultural backgrounds - came together in the PICS Fine Jewellery atelier for a creative journey with no predetermined destination. Each group inherited the work created by the previous participants, discussing together how they wished to continue its story before deciding collectively how the gold should evolve next.
What began as a single piece of 18K yellow gold evolved in ways no one could have predicted. The first group envisioned a heart, which was later divided into two forms. Those forms were reimagined into a yin-yang composition before transforming yet again into entirely new shapes. A moon gradually evolved into a botanical-inspired form, an oval unexpectedly became a bullet, and even the smallest offcut was transformed into a bow tie. By the end of the event, one single piece of gold had become three completely unique jewellery creations - each carrying the collective imagination, creativity, conversations, and decisions of everyone who had taken part.
The journey perfectly embodied the spirit of As One; We Craft. Rather than preserving the ideas that came before, each group embraced the freedom to reinterpret them. Every transformation was the result of discussion, collaboration, and the courage to build upon - or completely rethink - the work left by previous participants. The event became a living demonstration that creativity is not about protecting a single vision, but allowing ideas to evolve through many different perspectives.
This year's gathering was made even more meaningful as we welcomed a team from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to take part in the experience. After having a few friends from the jewellery industry join us last year, it was especially heartening to see a team embrace the spirit of As One; We Craft. Watching more members of the jewellery community experience this collaborative journey gives us hope that its message of inclusion, equality, and collective creativity will continue to reach and inspire others.
More than a jewellery-making event, As One; We Craft is a celebration of inclusion, equality, and collective creativity. Every contribution - regardless of age, profession, culture, or experience - became an essential part of the final artworks, reminding us that the most meaningful creations are not those shaped by a single individual, but by many hands, many perspectives, and the willingness to let ideas evolve together.
In honour of the event’s spirit, 10% of proceeds from each sale will be donated to a charity nominated by attendees on the event day, with the final choice made by the buyer.
