Experience
Ways to spend time with PICS.
At PICS, experience is part of how we share what we do.
Some moments are hands-on.
Some are simply about seeing and understanding.
All are created to slow things down — and to allow space for real conversation around craft, materials, and choice.
Atelier Experience
Time at the bench
A private session at Catherine Siu’s bench, where you work directly with silver, tools, and gemstones under personal guidance.
Offered one-to-one or for two participants, it’s an opportunity to understand jewellery and the PICS philosophy through making — from the feel of metal to the decisions that shape a finished piece.
By appointment. Limited sessions available.
Gemstone Discovery
Learning through looking
These sessions are designed to help you see gemstones beyond familiarity, appearance, or price.
We begin with diamonds — the most widely known and highly perceived — before moving through the Big Three and into a broader world of coloured gemstones.
Through shared observation and discussion, we gradually learn to recognise how beauty, rarity, and value take shape in nature, and to appreciate each stone as a natural creation with its own character and story.
Formats:
Private Viewing — by appointment
Group Session — held with partner organisation
Past Experiences
Shared moments
From time to time, we host collective experiences that reflect the values behind PICS — craft, individuality, and respect for different perspectives.
While some experiences return over time, each one unfolds differently, shaped by the hands and thoughts of those involved.
Example: As One; We Craft
A collective making experience held annually, shaped by those who participate.
If you’re curious.
Experiences at PICS change over time.
If something here resonates with you, you’re welcome to reach out and start a conversation.
